Ever thought of eating 50 year old chicken soup?

This is another article found in the Sun newspaper 8 Feb 06 where this old man thought it would be a good idea to eat from a tin of chicken soup that was fifty years old.

A northerner from Greater Manchester named Les Lailey 73 ate chicken soup that he received as a wedding present fifty years ago. He said "It went down a treat. It smelt good and tasted all right - I didn't even bother heating it up" The following day his family rung him up to see if he was still alive. He is doing fine, but he said that he prefers beef rather than chicken.

I think he's lucky not to have sprouted mouldy feathers all over, and laying smelly eggs everywhere.
