When Will I Get My Powerball Gyroscope?

The other day a mate brought his powerball into work for us all to try. Its an ingenious contraption that once you have a go you will want to won one too. The full name is "Dynaflex Powerball Gyroscope" its basically a gyroscope inside of a ball. You hold it with your hands and rotate your wrist, like your stiring with a wooden spoon. The gyroscope mechanism works against your wrist action, and gives your whole arm a total workout. Believe me after a few minutes your arm is aching. They even have a guiness world record which is 16218 revs per minute. This can be found on the official powerball site

I think this is a cool gadget that once you have a go you will want to buy one, of even get it as a gift if its someones birthday soon. They cost between £15 - £25 depending on which type you buy. The picture shows the original powerball pro, this is because it has a counter. But other models are the neon powerball, and the techno powerball. If you buy them tell me what you think.

Don't forget to buy a mothers day card

I hope you haven't forgotten to buy you mum a mothers day card. Its this Sunday (26 Feb), so you still have a few days to get in there and get her some thing nice. Show how much you love her with flower if your too shy(or manly) to tell her your self. Chocolates will probably keep her even sweeter, this is Incase you need top ask her for a favor next month.

A mate from work has his own site where you can by his own brand of seasonal cards. Well they are not totally his own design, but they are quite good. Quite a few people have already download them. I did think about doing my own cards to see if I could out do him but I have left it too late to attempt. Check out his site anyway download it and give it to your mum as part of her mothers day gift and she will like it. And I will guarantee it.

Im not too sure what to get my mum yet. She will get one of those cards and a proper card. Then I think I might get her some flowers and chocolate. Its a good way of saying thank you. Im not living at home and she does my laundry for me every week. And picks me up from the train station sometimes after work. I might have to get her another gift.

Reduced Penalty Points for Speeding Drivers

This article caught my eye as I read this on the train this morning. It comes from the commuters edition of the local Argus.

Last week the points received by a speeding driver has been reduced due to a road safety bill being passed. This reduction in points will only go to drivers that go over the over the speed limit by as much as 2 mph.

What this has done is introduce a whole set of drivers that will be eligible for the new reduced penalty points. This new rule will apply to drivers that are doing up to 4 mph of the speed limit. The points have been reduced but the fine stays the same. This will generate a nice healthy income for government. I wonder who is going to see this money? Definitely not the people that are doing 2 mph over the speed limit.

I think this is devious tactic by the government to make more money off hard working people. I can totally agree with harsh penalties and fines to speeding motorists who repeatedly offend. But careful drivers who are only 2 mph over the speed limit will have to pay the same as normal speed offenders and incur points on their license too. The government should first investigate their grossly inaccurate LTI 20-20 speed gun before handing out fines for being 2 mph over the speed limit.

Today I'm Happy, My iPod Nano Came Through

The other day I was thinking and decided I was going to jump on the feckin band wagon and join the iPod generation. So the first place I looked was ebay. There was an 4GB iPod Nano for £135 with 40min left on the auction. It was a good deal so placed my bid, with my maximum bid set at £150. As the time ticked by I ate my lunch. Hoping it wouldn't give me indigestion I checked to see if I had won the iPod.

Oh yea, I won and paid £147 and they usually go for £170 in the shops. I was well chuffed.

I only had to wait 2 day for it to be delivered. But it came as a suprise to me when it did arrive. It was about 11'o clock and the mail had been, including a few deliveries so I didn't think it was going to arrive today. But it did!!!!

Thats the reason why Im so happy today. Now I think Im going to listen to my iPod a bit more now.

Cocaine In Crawley Schools

I was reading the paper this morning on the train and was shocked to read that Crawley had made the national news paper.

Four school girls from Holy Trinity school in Gossosp Green were caught and expelled for sniffing lines of coke in the toilets. It has also been reported that pupild have also been taken out of lessons because they were under the influence of cannabis and even ecstasy.

Im not too sure what to think about this. I can understand pupils experimenting with recreational drugs during education. But certainly not cocaine or ecstasy in a secondary school. I bet their parents are dissapointed with them. Its a shame because we know these kids will probably not go on to have a good life and will continue to slip down the slippery slope that they are on.

My final thought comes from chief from SouthPark "There is a time and place to do drugs and it's college"

Diving in the Red Sea

At work today a colleague we pleased with himself because he ranked 120 something in google for "Diving in the Red Sea". Now the head of IT is trying to rank higher for red sea diving. I told him that sound like a challenge.

Iv never been proper sea diving, let alone seen the red sea. But I am going to rank higher than them two. Iv been snorkeling in Ibiza which was cool but diving, that sounds like loads of fun. But I would like to know why is the Red Sea called the "Red Sea" I know I could google it and find out. But I'm feeling lazy this morning and would Iike to hear why you think the Red Sea has its name.

Now to finish off with a joke.

How long did it take to make the red sea?

A long period of time. Ha ha ha
